You might have seen Pared Eyewear being worn by celebrities like Brad Pitt , Selena Gomez, Beyoncé and Gigi Hadid. This Australian brand has established a cult following of influencers, artists and celebrities across the globe. Known for balancing a commitment to wearability with pushing the boundaries of conventional design, Pared collections are always anticipated for their quality and individuality. For this, its fifth year at MBFW, Pared have continued their history of collaborations by joining with designers Bec and Bridge, P. E nation and Holly Ryan Jewellery to create a unique and covetable collection.
The Pared Event
This year Pared moved offsite to showcase their looks at Hand Picked Cellar Door, a terrific venue which was brimming with fashion lovers all keen to see and try on the latest styles. Pared pushed the boundaries of a traditional fashion week runway by giving us an innovative presentation where models popped up from white boxes wearing the new season’s designs. This exciting showcase was choreographed by Matthew Gode.
Wine, champagne, cocktails and coffee were flowing and tasty grazing plates overflowing with cheese, dips, crackers and fruit were popular with the fashionable set who attended. I loved the venue so much I took my husband back there that night to enjoy the ambience.
At the event we were encouraged to try on pieces from the new Pared Eyewear range and I fell in love with a cool, oversized orange pair. There are styles to suit every type of face and every person’s different style.
Pared was born on the beaches of Australia six years ago and is the brainchild of husband and wife duo Samantha Stevenson and Edward Baker who started the brand from their Bondi Beach apartment. Their handmade sunglasses are grounded in the fundamentals of clean lines , smooth shapes and lasting comfort. Creative director Samantha Stevenson takes her cues from travel, art and architecture and it shows in the sleek designs. Pared is now stocked in over 28 countries worldwide. One of the highlights of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Resort 2020 , for me , was this alternative and lovely show which gave us a chance to mingle, try on and enjoy the new styles on offer. Thanks to Pared Eyewear for the invitation.
