Local Cake Boss and Sugar Artist -Zoe Byres will be appearing at The International Cake Show Australia in May.The quirky cake artist with the shock of pink hair is instantly recognisable to her many followers and Zoe’s creations have made her an Instagram sensation. She will be a part of the team creating the ‘ Alice in Wonderland ‘ display at the Brisbane show. Her unique style and knack for wacky creations often sees her work- ranging from Ghostbuster ghouls to towering burgers and wicked witches-being shared across the globe with her thousands of social media friends. About Zoe
Zoe Byres runs Sugar Art- a Brisbane based cake and sugar art business. She has won over 20 highly distinguished awards in recent years and is now a much sought after demonstrator and mentor in this growing industry. Her work has been featured in many magazines and publications both nationally and internationally, including the prestigious ‘Cake Masters’ magazine. Zoe is also kept busy running her own business ‘ Sugar Art by Zoe Byres’ where she specialises in hand sculptured and hand painted cakes. Zoe has also participated in various Cake competitions and collaborations around the globe. In 2017 she won a gold, silver and bronze award in ACADA’s ‘ Ultimate Cake Decorating Competition’. Highlights for Zoe at this year’s International Cake Show Australia will be teaching beginners how to make ‘ Everett the Wombat’ – an intriguing 3-D hand painted cake. Zoe is leading a team of Sugar Artists who are building a huge edible ‘Alice in Wonderland’ exhibit for the show. She will also compete in the ‘Ultimate Australian Cake Decorating Competition’. SheSociety can’t wait to see what wacky creation Zoe will come up with in this category.
