She Society were delighted to be invited to the Women in Fashion Annual Long Lunch & Awards 2024. This wonderful yearly event is organised by Director of both Women in Fashion and Ravishing Fashionistas, Upma Kite and is a highlight of Brisbane’s fashion calendar. Fashionistas wearing suits, sets, evening gowns, pretty Spring dresses and floral headpieces descended on South Brisbane ready for a colourful day.
Fashionistas frocked up and descended on the superb new venue, Lina Rooftop. This change meant that we enjoyed an outdoor pool bar area plus an air conditioned indoor space with magnificent views over the city. The venue could also cater to a larger volume of people.
This sold-out event is now in its fifth year and the overwhelming sight of Southeast Queensland’s finest fashionistas gathered together was nothing short of magical, illuminating the room with their creativity and passion for fashion. The space itself was beautifully decorated in soothing shades of pink and white. Guests enjoyed the lilting voice of Jess Irvine as they arrived and supped on champagne and canapes by the magnificent pool.
Volunteers from Women’s Legal Service were on hand to greet guests and were recipients of the proceeds from the day’s raffle which boasted a swag of prizes. The raffle successfully raised over $6000. This commitment not only honours deserving causes but highlights how recognition within the fashion industry can make a difference to the lives of many.
Sponsored by Slim Magazine, this day is a celebration of all the best in Queensland Fashion.
Thank you to the stunning Upma Kite, who was dressed in Sonia Stradiotto Couture and a headpiece from Belle Folie Lifestyle, for the warm welcome. Our host was the charismatic media personality, Damien Anthony Avery – Rossi and the day was overseen by Upma Kite, who ensured all guests felt welcome.
Attendees enjoyed the breathtaking views while witnessing awards being handed out in ten different categories. These awards celebrated the leading lights of our vibrant community.
