Brisbane Women’s Club: A Gathering of Empowered Women in Brisbane Since 1908.
Brisbane Women’s Club, one of the oldest women’s clubs in Queensland, Australia, is hosting its annual Charitable Champagne High Tea on Saturday, 4th of November, 2023. The event will take place at the Emporium Hotel Brisbane Frangipani Ballroom from 12:15-3pm.
Brisbane Women’s Club, established in 1908 as the Women’s Progressive Club, has a rich history of advocating for women’s rights and improving the community. Over the years, the club has played a crucial role in various initiatives, including lobbying efforts directed at the Brisbane City Council and the State Government. The club has also contributed to the establishment of organisations such as the Queensland Country Women’s Association and the Bush Book Club.
In the present day, Brisbane Women’s Club continues its mission of uniting and uplifting women in Brisbane. The club organises networking events, social gatherings, and professional development opportunities for its members. It also engages in fundraising activities and supports women in need while striving to bring about positive changes for women in the community.
The highlight of this year’s Charitable Champagne High Tea will be the recipient announcement of the 2023 Brisbane Women’s Club $10,000 Charitable Grant. The 2022 grant recipient, Hannah’s House, used the grant funds to upgrade the kitchen in their crisis accommodation facility.
In addition, Brisbane Women’s Club will be supporting another charity, Hummingbird House, with all guests encouraged to bring along pamper pack items for the carers of children staying at Hummingbird House.
The Brisbane Women’s Club Charitable Champagne High Tea promises to be a delightful afternoon celebrating Saturday in Brisbane. Guests will enjoy two hours of free-flowing French champagne, along with a delectable high tea. There will also be a roving photographer, raffles, lucky door prizes, and more surprises throughout the event.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses looking to support this event or a series of events organised by Brisbane Women’s Club. Interested parties can contact Brisbane Women’s Club Event Director, Jacqui Schultz at firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
