The 2018 Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival has officially launched, with the first of the race days just over 3 weeks away now.
From May 12th, Doomben Racecourse will play host to seven heart-stopping Group 1 races backed by a racing programme worthy of royalty. The Carnival will see former Australian rugby league footballer, Beau Ryan, Home and Away star Sam Frost and fashion icon Steph Claire Smith fly in to join the excitement with headline entertainment from Brisbane-based band, Sheppard and Australian icon, Shannon Noll.
The first of the four race days, the KIRIN Doomben 10,000 Day is where the grand thoroughbred contest will begin. It will feature one of Australia’s best weight-for-age races, the G1 Doomben 10,000 (WFA) 1200m with a prize of $700,000 – perfect for hotshot punters and spiffy racegoers ready to don their favourite vintage number.
