On Thursday 21 October, over 600 people were in attendance on the Opening Night of the 27th Annual Brisbane International Film Festival at QPAC which showcased the Queensland Premiere of Leah Purcell’s film The Drover’s Wife The Legend of Molly Johnson.
There was an amazing attendance of actors from the film as well as producers, composers, and costume designers. Guests were treated to a pre and post-function with free-flowing wine and bubbles from sponsor Bird In Hand. The unique experience of watching a film in the Lyric Theatre was not missed by the audience.
