Australian showman Hugh Jackman is bringing his first world tour to Australia.
The tour of “The Man. The Music. The Show” starts in Hamburg, Germany, on May 13 and will kick off in Sydney on August 2-3.
This will be followed by Adelaide (August 10-11), Melbourne (August 16-17), Perth (August 21-24) and Brisbane (August 31).
In the show, Jackman will perform hits from films The Greatest Showman and Les Miserables, as well as songs from his Broadway career, accompanied by a live orchestra.
It’s the first tour of its kind for Jackman, who will perform at famed arenas including New York’s Madison Square Garden, London’s The O2 and the Hollywood Bowl.
Before he was Wolverine in the hit movie, Jackman spent his early career working in theatre, performing in shows including Oklahoma! and Beauty and The Beast.
In 2004 he won a Tony Award for his role in The Boy From Oz, which chronicles the life of Australian songwriter Peter Allen.
Tickets go on sale Thursday, March 7!
