On Saturday night in the QPAC Concert Hall, Queensland Symphony Orchestra presented its spectacular first Maestro concert of 2020, Power and Glory. Conducted by Alexander Prior, Power and Glory featured the world premiere of Hidden Wiring by Australian composer Melody Eötvös, as well as Beethoven’s Triple Concerto performed by Emily Sun, Caleb Wong and Aura Go and Shostakovich’s gripping Symphony No. 5. The Queensland Symphony Orchestra returns to the stage on Saturday February 15 with Star Wars: Return of the Jedi followed by Beethoven and Brahms on Sunday February 23. Information at qso.com.au.
