After a substantial three million dollar renovation, The Greek Club has welcomed Nostimo to their landmark restaurant space.
Nostimo showcases a warm, friendly atmosphere with city views and hosts live Greek music every Friday and Saturday night.
The restaurant’s culinary curator Chef David Tsirekas, from Sydney’s 1821, has pulled together a menu which is based around traditional regional flavours with a nod to contemporary tastes.
Chef David has certainly delivered on the namesake- Nostimo meaning delicious with the meals delivered being both traditional and uncomplicated, showing through the true flavours of the region. With a balanced choice of meat, vegetables and dairy- some of the standouts include the Saganaki with caramelised figs and the Lamb kondosouvli.
Bar manager Kostas Manekas has also had hand in the menu by curating a selection of wines that cover regions and tastes across 60 labels, with cocktails incorporating the classic Greek ouzo and a selection of eight beers on tap, with 24 bottled choices.
Nostimo is now open to the public at 29 Edmondstone St in South Brisbane- right next to the Greek Church.
