French and fabulous!

July 11, 2016

We did our best to be fabulous at the Be Fabulous Ladies Lunch and rumours of us having a French affair in Brisbane just might be true …  but don’t tell anyone, oh là là!

Bonjour et Bienvenue!

South Bank was the place to be again over the weekend with the Brisbane French Festival taking place from Friday evening until Sunday.

Crowds lined up for good French food and wine, and what a huge selection – our taste buds went into overload with all the French specialities on offer.

The program was jam packed with French culture and amazing entertainment including 20 hours of live entertainment and more than 120 artists on stage.   One of our favourites was the Le Moulin Rouge Cabaret French Cancan dancers, along with the French cooking classes, the “April in Paris” Fashion Show and the tribute to Edit Piaf – soprano soloist with ballerina dancers.  C’est tres magnifique!

We really experienced the true French culture in style, and even Jennifer was brushing up on her skills in French after years of not practicing!  It really was an amazing event.

Being Fabulous – we’ll drink to that, cheers!

Be Fabulous Ladies Lunch at Moo Moo the Wine Bar + Grill Brisbane was held last Friday 8 July and we were happy to be there and be fabulous.  This amazing luncheon supported ICANIWILL Children’s Charity headed by CEO Conan Visser (pictured left), who said “We aim to bridge the social differences between those with special needs and those without”.

So, not only was this event for  a great cause, it was a fabulous afternoon filled with Camilla fashion, canapés on arrival, a three-course lunch and a three-hour Chandon beverage package. There were also heaps of raffle prizes donated by generous donors of the event.

Host/co-owner of Moo Moo’s Restaurant, Autumn Adams, has raised over $250,000 for charity over the past 10 years and always makes sure these lunches are full of fun and a must on the social calendar, alternating between the Brisbane and Gold Coast Moo Moo’s Venues.

The Camilla Fashion Parade was the highlight of the afternoon with McFashion Trends Camilla Hire garments on show and fabulous prizes also donated by owner, Eustinah.

By making charity cool and fun, ICANIWILL successfully influence a large percentage of senior school students to volunteer to mentor a child with special needs or a child who might be struggling socially.

Catch you next week with the latest Brisbane events wrap-up – and psss… we’re going to the Queensland Premier’s Drama Award Announcement where three dynamic ladies are in the running for the major award—Michelle Lee, Kathryn Marquet and Suzie Miller—keep you posted!
