On the red carpet at the Logies
Sorry to name drop, but of course we were there! It was an experience of a lifetime for us to walk the red carpet and be amongst the glitz and glamour of the 58th TV Week Logie Awards 2016.
The fashion on the red carpet was absolutely sensational and it’s no wonder Carrie Bickmore, Pia Miller, Jessica Marais, Lisa Wilkinson and Edwina Bartholomew made the “best dressed” list, as they absolutely nailed it on the red carpet.
We felt the best dressed of the night had to go to Olympia Valance in her intricate white lace gown by the designer J’Aton Couture – figure hugging before dropping to the ground and forming a long train.
It was so fantastic to see Molly Meldrum there as well—due to his recent health issues—and of course actor and presenter Noni Hazlehurst entered into the Hall of Fame.
It was a night of all nights, and we can’t wait to get back there next year!
An Italian affair
Ah for the love of Italy! Pizza, pasta and Peroni’s were the crowd favourites at the Italian Wine & Food Festival at New Farm Park, along the beautiful Brisbane River.
We were delighted to help this well-known festival celebrate its 10th anniversary by enjoying the live music, fine Italian street food and regional Italian wines.
We had a bit of an Italian love affair with the arancini balls—risotto and mozzarella balls coated in golden crumbs—they were the bomb! Add to this the wood fire pizzas, pasta and delicious gelato, and everyone was raving about the food.
The organisers went to great lengths to bring Italy to Brisbane, and providing a leaning tower of Pisa created a great backdrop for photos.
We finished the day with Italian coffee and cannelloni made by Nonna, of course. Ciao!
