#SheSociety was invited to attend a preview screening of hilarious new comedy BLOCKERS and it is safe to say that we were not disappointed.
Starring Leslie Mann (The Other Woman, This Is 40), Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors, Suicide Squad) and John Cena (Trainwreck, Sisters).
When three parents stumble upon their daughters’ pact to lose their virginity at prom, they launch a covert one-night operation to stop the teens from sealing the deal.
As their daughters experience the night of their lives, we follow Mann, Barinholtz and Cena through their own night of fun with a few disasters along the way.
In what we expected would be a hilarious comedy- BLOCKERS was also much more then that. Surprisingly it was quite progressive and demonstrated modern gender roles which meets a timely release in the era of #MeToo and #TimesUp, along with young women making their own choices when it comes to their first sexual experience without the pressure of their peers or parents.
