Giving back to the community is not as hard and time consuming as it sounds. Any small act is better than none, why not try one of the below?
- Buy a Bale of Hay for a struggling farmer. For as little as $20 you can help out a struggling farmer and shout them a bale of hay. 100% of the proceeds go to the cause. https://www.buyabale.com.au/faqs
- Volunteer to teach your skill. If you are good at something, why not take the time to teach another person? If your accounting skills are really good, why not help out someone who needs it?
- Pick up litter on you afternoon run/walk. Helping out the community does not have to be a big gesture. Simply take a plastic bag on your next run or walk and pick up any litter you see on your way.
- Donate your unused goods. Go through your wardrobe and donate anything you have not used or worn in the past 6 months. If you forgot about it, you don’t need it but someone else might.
- Support your local businesses. Get up a little earlier and head to a small local coffee shop instead of getting one near your work. Supporting local businesses in your area is also a great way to engage and meet people within the community.
