Australians and the Brazilian community are invited to join this mission of connection, compassion, and meaningful impact.
The campaign will run throughout November, with each donation of $50 AUD funding a hamper to feed a family of four for two weeks, ensuring they can celebrate with hope, dignity, and nourishment. Donations of any amount can be made via the website at https://acasa.org.au/ and the food hampers will be delivered in December, with a live stream on CASA’s YouTube channel.
Currently 21,6 million people are affected by hunger in Brazil. “We believe in the power of the global community to make a difference, for most of these families we are their only chance to have a Christmas dinner this year. CASA has distributed over 170 tons of food in Brazil to date”, explained Emilie da Silva Stratford, CEO of CASA.
Over 50 volunteers are engaged with this cause, which supports 20 organisations. “Equivalent to 80% of Australia’s population currently face food insecurity in Brazil. A cause that allows Brazilians living far from home to give back and offers Australians a way to impact families in need”, commented Emilie.
