The Brisbane RF Fashion Show 2024 made a grand return to Brisbane over the weekend, drawing an enthusiastic crowd despite coinciding with Father’s Day. On Sunday evening, showgoers gathered for the annual event, eager to experience a night of spectacular glamour.
Thanks to the ongoing support from a dedicated team of volunteers, media partners, and the Brisbane City Council, the event was another sold-out success. Guests were welcomed into the transformed courtyard of the Treasury Hotel, where they were transported into an atmosphere reminiscent of a European soirée.
VIP attendees enjoyed a pre-show party complete with a steady flow of champagne and a lively photobooth. The event attracted guests from across Australia, including politicians, socialites, designers, and other industry professionals.
Though Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner was unable to attend in person, he conveyed his unwavering support through a televised opening speech that resonated with the audience.
Event creator and director Upma Kite then took to the stage, delivering a heartfelt speech that warmly welcomed all guests. She expressed deep gratitude for everyone involved, sharing sincere and moving words of appreciation for the community that supported the event.
For the first time in the history of the RF Fashion Show, the 2024 event opened with an Artistic Show, featuring a stunning display of wearable art from Sunshine Coast designers Olga Blake-McKenzie, Eloise Galea, and Natalie Hamblin. The unique presentation set a captivating tone for the evening, with each piece reflecting exquisite craftsmanship and innovative design. Crafted from environmentally conscious materials, these creations not only dazzled the audience visually but also underscored the importance of sustainability in fashion. The audience were in awe of the artistry and creativity on display.
The main event featured 12 talented designers and 50 models who took to the runway, embodying a celebration of diversity and inclusivity. Models of all shapes, sizes, and ages— including children—graced the catwalk, breaking stereotypes and redefining the standards of beauty. The audience was blown away by Ravishing Fashionistas’ commitment to challenging the norm, leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of excellence.
The show garnered widespread media attention across Australia, drawing in designers and stylists from far and wide. The dedication and talent of everyone involved did not go unnoticed, as the models stunned the showgoers with their poise and elegance. The RF
