The 80 minute performance was searingly beautiful, pitch perfect, and paved new musical ways. On Saturday evening Katie Noonan, Fiona Campbell, Andrew Goodwin and Andrew O’Connor made musical history in launching Katie’s AVE – Australian Vocal Ensemble – a national first acapella quartet celebrating old and new Australian stories. To a packed Conservatorium Of Music auditorium, Katie was joined by the three extraordinary, internationally renowned artists in Mezzo-Soprano Fiona Campbell (Perth), Tenor Andrew Goodwin (Sydney) and Baritone Andrew O’Connor (Sydney) and the audience spellbound, it was otherworldly, and incredible celebration of voice, of joy, of performance.
