On Saturday 9 December, Queensland Symphony Orchestra continued its annual tradition of presenting Messiah, with Helpmann Award-winning Erin Helyard at the helm. In what was a jubilant celebration to conclude their 70th anniversary year, the QSO presented one of the most famous pieces of Baroque choral music ever created: the rousing Hallelujah chorus, supported by an all Australian line-up (Soprano Miriam Allan, Mezzo Soprano Helen Sherman, Tenor Paul McMahon, Baritone Andrew Collis) with the Canticum Chamber Choir.
