Congratulations to this year’s ARIA Award winners across the I OH YOU, Liberator, Ivy League and Liberation Records families.

Matt Gudinski, Mushroom Group Chief Executive, says: “The artists Mushroom has the pleasure of working with are incomparable – this year has seen a wave of phenomenal music that fans across the globe have heard, supported and loved. I want to particularly congratulate DMA’S, Kylie, The Teskey Brothers and Dan Sultan on their well-deserved ARIA wins, as well as our labels team for the mammoth effort that goes into bringing this music to the world.”

I OH YOU act DMA’S took to the ARIA stage for an epic performance of ‘Everybody’s Saying Thursday’s The Weekend’, fresh off their biggest Australian headline tour to date – a massive 20 shows across 16 cities with over 24,000 tickets sold.

With five nominations this year, DMA’S took home ARIA Award for Best Group for their highly revered fourth album How Many Dreams?. The album was released to critical acclaim in March and marked the band’s highest chart debuts to date, #3 UK Official Chart and #2 ARIA Chart. The release saw DMA’S play to adoring crowds across AUS/UK/Europe on a massive run of headline dates, including a sold-out show at London’s OVO Arena Wembley and the main stage of Reading & Leads Festival. DMA’S also recently took out the #1 spot in triple j’s highly anticipated Hottest 100 of Like A Version with their cover of Cher’s ‘Believe’, which this year hit 2x ARIA Platinum status, cementing their status in the Australian music canon.

Mushroom‘s pop queen Kylie Minogue was awarded Best Pop Release for her hit single ‘Padam Padam’, the leading track from her chart-topping 16th studio album Tension, released via Liberator Music. ‘Padam Padam’ is Kylie’s 38th Top 20 ARIA single. Its impact can only be described as a cultural phenomenon, with the official music video amassing 20M+ views and global streams sitting at 115M+. Taking out the #1 spot on Spotify’s inaugural Australian Music Global Impact List, ‘Padam Padam’ has undeniably had an impact on wider pop culture. Currently performing at her highly-anticipated sold-out Vegas residency, Kylie played this year to adoring fans around the world, headlining Sydney WorldPride as well as performances at the finale of American Idol 2023, a surprise headline performance at Capital’s Summertime Ball, and a rapturous set at BBC Radio 2 In The Park.

Ivy League Records are beyond excited to share with The Teskey Brothers the achievement of Best Blues and Roots Release. The Winding Way claimed #1 debuts on the ARIA Album, Australian Album, Vinyl Album and Digital Album charts. It is a record that will sit comfortably amongst the songbook greats and has propelled The Teskey Brothers onwards to their inevitable place in the canon. The Teskey Brothers sold over 80,000 tickets to their headline international shows and played Glastonbury’s The Other Stage. Fans can catch them live this month on their headline Australian tour.

Liberation Records are proud to see Dan Sultan recognised for his reflective new self-titled album, earning ARIA for Best Adult Contemporary Album. An intensely personal release, Dan Sultan’s self-titled fifth studio album is a beautiful, heartfelt collection of songs that retain the elements of the musicianship which have endeared him to fans around the country for well over a decade. One of the Australia’s premier singer-songwriters, Dan Sultan boasts two top #5 ARIA Albums, with Blackbird achieving ARIA-certified Gold, and has previously taken home 6x ARIAs, 2x APRAs, 4x AIRs and 6x NIMAs. Dan recently wrapped up a headline Australian tour, selling out Melbourne’s Recital Centre and Brisbane’s Princess Theatre and also supported Vance Joy across the US, with performances at iconic venues Red Rocks, Central Park and The Ryman.

It was also fantastic to see Mushroom artist Bliss n Eso perform as part of ARIA’s 50 Years Of Hip Hop celebration in recognition of their profound impact on the local hip hop scene, and I OH YOU artist Jack River, who has worked closely with ARIA on their Our Soundtrack Our Stories initiatives, present Best Independent Release.
