Australian made and owned brand, OC Naturals, has launched Silky Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner, rounding out its core range of much-loved plant-based hair care products.
As pioneers within the natural hair and body care category, OC Naturals and Natures Organics has been committed to making high quality, environmentally responsible products accessible and most importantly affordable for all Australians since 1981.
The new Silky Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner harnesses the power of naturally derived plant-based ingredients and botanical actives including Moringa Oil, Lotus Extract and Aloe Vera to leave frizzy hair feeling soft and silky smooth.
Known for its anti-inflammatory properties and with zinc to aid in keratin production, Moringa Oil acts as a protectant against sun damage and colour depletion, moisturises and helps to hydrate the scalp to heal hair from the inside out.
More than an exotic and soothing scent, Lotus Extract is an ingredient high in protein which helps promote hair growth as does Aloe Vera, thanks to its special proteolytic enzymes, that effectively break down dead skin cells on the scalp to prevent the clogging of hair follicles.
The OC Naturals range prioritises being gentle on the hair and scalp without compromising on efficacy, and the new Silky Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner are no different – there is minimal to no use of synthetic ingredients, and they are also free from harsh detergents, petrochemical cleaners, parabens and mineral oils.
Elise Synnott, Marketing Manager for Personal Care at Natures Organics says that OC Naturals Shampoos and Conditioners have been a staple in Australian family’s bathrooms for a very long time.
“Where Normal Balance caters to all hair types, Coco Repair provides a solution for damaged hair, and Deep Nourish for dry hair, the addition of Silky Smooth to OC Naturals core line of Shampoo and Conditioners, allows us to adequately cater to all hair types, specifically those looking to tame and hydrate frizz prone and unruly hair,” Elise says.
Over the last few years, consumers have displayed an increased propensity for choosing natural or more environmentally friendly products1, but they’re also happy to pay the associated price tag along with it2.
OC Naturals lives up to its sustainability promise by using recycled plastic to produce every bottle at its Ferntree Gully site, which can then be recycled after using, and the products themselves are made with the help of solar power.
But, Elise says that Australian families don’t need to hand over excessive amounts of money for quality natural and sustainable products.
“Everyone should have the opportunity to purchase products that use natural ingredients that are kind on your family’s hair and skin, as well for the planet – just because natural and sustainability is on trend, doesn’t mean it needs to have an inflated price tag.”
“Not only is OC Naturals Silky Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner a quality, affordable solution for those with frizz prone hair, it’s also vegan and certified cruelty free, just like every other product within our OC Naturals’ range,” Elise says.
Launching this month, OC Naturals Silky Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner can now be purchased from Coles stores and independent supermarkets, Australia-wide for $3.50 each.
