- Centerpiece is key.
To make your home and guests feel more merry, your table centerpiece can really set the tone for your festive entertaining. For an Australiana-style table, the use of architectural native blooms, shrubbery, foliage make for an on trend statement. Pairing these with candles of differing heights can add ambiance and a sense of warmth to your table. For your theme to flow from the Christmas tree to the table, interwine tinsel or place baubles through your centrepiece.
- Natural finishes to bring the outdoors in.
Christmas in Queensland is all about being outdoors and embracing our beautiful, sunny summer. This can be reflected in your designs by bringing the outdoors in. Incorporate natural elements such as cut logs or timber pieces as serving platters. Adding both height and interest and plays to the Aussie bush theme. Ditch the tablecloths in favour of a wooden table top to really embrace organic textures in your styling. - Adding your personal touch with layering.
Personal touches are the most important part of any tablescape. Layering is a great way to add your style to table whilst still playing into the natural textures you’ve already created. Adding placemats and coloured cutlery or crockery can inject your personality into your design. Using bespoke handmade platters and dishes can also add feature moments to the table whilst making it unique to you.
