Inspired by the upcoming movie Wonder, here at SheBrisbane we are making a concerted effort to choose kind every single day. Aiming towards our goal of becoming certified kind and raising money for charity.
By taking on the Choose Kind challenge you too can have the chance to raise $1000 for the charity of your choice, and all you simply have to do is to be kind. Whether that’s by complimenting a stranger or shouting a friend lunch, there are millions of ways you can show you care.
To become Certified Kind and raise money for charity, all you have to do is fill a glass jar with a token every time you do a good deed. By filling up your jar and sending a photo, you have the chance to raise money for your favourite charity.
Choose kind is the movement inspired by the story Wonder, written by R.J. Palacio and coming to the big screen on November 30. The movement encourages people to create and spread more kindness in the world, hoping to build a positive and inspirational social change across Australia and New Zealand, inspiring people to practice random acts of kindness every day.
The story Wonder revolves around10-year-old August Pullman. Born with facial differences that up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, August enters the fifth grade an unlikely hero. But by undergoing a range of learning experiences with his peers, teachers and family, August shows that it’s perfectly okay to stand out and that simple kindness can go a long way.
If you want to increase your level of kindness you too can take part in the Choose Kind Challenge and become Certified Kind by clicking here.
