An inspiring story of how three friends battle bugs, baddies and bullies to save the bees and the planet, fills award winning Brisbane author Karen Tyrell’s new children’s book out later this month.
Song Bird The Battle of Bug World is the sequel to Song Bird Superhero which was about bullied schoolgirl, Rosella Ava Bird, who has extra ordinary superpowers facing adversary in a hectic world with her disabled best friend by her side.
In the sequel she faces enemies that are a threat to the environment and the world with The Battle of Bug World having strong environmental preservation themes.
One of the unlikely heroes in the story is a giant bee that helps Song Bird in her quest.

As an ex teacher, anti-bully advocate and a Queensland mental health achievement award winner Karen is well credentialled to do just that.
