To celebrate its first birthday, Skygate Home & Life is partnering with one of Australia’s most in demand artists, Sally Spratt of The Lust List, who will take over the home and lifestyle precinct on Saturday, 30 November between 10:00am – 2:00pm.
To mark the occasion, Spratt is heading to the capital city to host three free illustration workshops and has designed a limited-edition The Lust List print, which will be gifted to shoppers who spend over $100 in-centre during the weekend.
Adding to the splendour, the first 10 shoppers in queue on Saturday morning will be gifted a custom print, painted by Spratt in the flesh. She says the hand-crafted piece is inspired by the upcoming glow of summer, creating the perfect touch of colour to complete any refreshed seasonal interiors.
“The print absolutely captures the warmth and laid-back feel of the Queensland lifestyle; I’m so excited to share it with everyone on the day,” Spratt said.
Brisbane Airport Corporation Executive General Manager, Property Division, Scott Douglas says they are excited to come full circle after a successful year as Brisbane’s newest destination for affordable interior style.
“We are proud to see so many locals and visitors alike make Skygate Home & Life a quintessential weekend stop,” Mr Douglas said.
“Our goal was to create a place of inspiration for those wanting to build their own personal paradise and have all the essentials to bring it to life at their fingertips.”
Only minutes away from Brisbane Airport’s International and Domestic Terminals, Skygate is home to more than 160 fashion, dining, homewares and grocery retailers across the precinct. The addition of Brisbane Airport’s newest homemaker centre, Skygate Home & Life, has further complemented the existing lifestyle and homewares hub, and the upcoming milestone will add another special touch to the homes of locals and visitors.
Since launching The Lust List and coining the motto “if I can’t have them, I’ll draw them”, Spratt has taken over the high fashion world one print at a time working with brands such as Estee Lauder, Vanity Fair, and Harper’s Bazaar, to name a few.
The weekend celebration will offer guests an opportunity to explore the centre’s domain of luxury for all budgets’ and participate in free workshops led by Spratt, where participants will learn her signature watercolour style.
Locals and intrepid shoppers are invited to register to secure their attendance at one of the three workshops, as spots are anticipated to fill up quick. If registration fills, all are still welcome to come along, watch and meet Sally Spratt from 1:00pm onwards.
