Here’s your chance to take your loved one on a stunning dinner date to remember this Valentine’s Day with the added bonus of knowing all of what you pay goes towards ending world hunger.
Now in its third year, A Table To End Hunger, has enlisted more than 130 restaurants around Australia as well as in Bali, Hawaii and England to help raise funds to help the world’s starving.
Each of the listed restaurants will hold an online auction for a Valentine’s Day dinner for two.
All money from the winning bids goes to The Hunger Project Australia whose aim is to end world hunger by 2030 by arming men and women globally with the skills, resources and education to transform their lives and be able to create opportunities to end hunger.
This year The Table to End Hunger is bigger and better than before with some bidders able to win more than just dinner and drinks.
Some venues are offering exclusive experiences on the night, such as Aria Sydney which boasts one of the best views in Australia.
The winning bidder will get a prime table with an exclusive tasting menu from head chef Jason Staudt teamed with hidden gems from its cellar selected by head sommelier Alex Kirkwood.
Looking to take in a show? Why not bid on the Sydney Opera House French three-course menu at the House Brasserie followed by tickets to the acclaimed Merry Widow to finish the night.
For something a little more simple there’s Brisbane’s Paddo Inn.
Melanie Noden, CEO, The Hunger Project Australia said A Table To End Hunger was an amazing opportunity to not only dine at a top restaurant with your loved one but to help solve a bigger problem too.
“There’s still a long way to go to end world hunger and A Table To End Hunger is one way for Australians to play a part in the solution,” she said.
Other restaurants include the Locavore in Bali, Merriman’s Kapalua in Hawaii and Adam’s in Birmingham in the UK.
