The Untold Story of an Australian Icon.
For something a little different this Mother’s Day, join us at Dendy Coorparoo or Dendy Portside at 10am Sunday, May 14 for a special Seniors Morning Tea Preview Screening of the first authorised biopic of our very own Whispering Jack and 1988 Australian of The Year, John Farnham in JOHN FARNHAM: FINDING THE VOICE.
Whispering Jack is still the highest selling Australian album of all time, and this powerful documentary tracks the personal and public journey that has made Farnham Australia’s greatest and most beloved musical artist.
Follow Farnham’s life through the highs and lows from the quiet suburbs of Melbourne to ‘60s pop fame and ultimately to record-breaking success as ‘Australia’s Voice’. The documentary features some of Farnham’s greatest supporters and allies including the late Olivia Newton-John, Celine Dion, Robbie Williams, Jimmy Barnes, Daryl Braithwaite, Richard Marx and his long time manager Glenn Wheatley.
Morning tea including cakes and other bakery items will be served at 10am with a 10.30am screening. Screening is open to everyone, not just Seniors so why not treat mum or treat yourself to a morning at Dendy. JOHN FARNHAM: FINDING THE VOICE opens at Dendy Cinemas 18 May.
