Thanks to Transmission Films, SheBrisbane has 10 double passes to an advance preview screening of MONSIEUR CHOCOLAT on Wednesday June 21 at 6:30pm at Palace Barracks Cinema.
MONSIEUR CHOCOLAT has just completed a run at the Alliance Françiase French Film Festival and was received very well by audiences with a top 10 position. Inspired by the true story of Rafael Padilla (Chocolat) and his rise to fame as the first black circus clown in late 19th Century France is a beautiful, funny, heart warming and emotional film. The period is displayed beautifully with rich design, providing a look inside the revolutionary circus performance of the time. The enigmatic Omar Sy shines as Chocolat, alongside James Theirée – the great grandson of the great English comic actor, Charlie Chaplin.
