Snow Week Launches at The Prince Consort

June 28, 2023

One of the best ways to warm up in Brisbane this winter is to head to Fortitude Valley and Snow Week at The Prince Consort. She Society were privileged to attend the recent VIP Snow Week Launch where we explored the fabulous art installations and were amazed by stunning performers. The drinks were flowing , the snow was falling and the delicious canapés including Bao buns, sliders and mushroom arancini warmed us on the inside.

We all loved the beats from The Prince Consort’s resident DJ who had everyone up on the dance floor. There are so many great spots for those moments you want to share to your winter instagram feed. Here’s what else is in store…

From June 27 to July 4 there will be 50 tonnes of snow blanketing the venue all week long. With ten events across all levels of this iconic building there will be something for everyone. Highlights include Snow Week Drag Bingo, Ugly Sweater Backpacker Party, Apres Ski Party and Frostbite where bands with headliners – The Funny Jims – will play over two stages.

The Patriots Hoedown is an American themed party with an American menu, live music and themed trivia. For all the divas out there is a Diva Tribute night. Channel your inner Beyoncé, Britney and Mariah. Song Machine lets you sing along to all your favourite tracks with live band – The Alter Egos. Belt out your favourite anthems and ballads like a rock star as you join in the singalong. On Saturday, July 1, visit Canada Day where you can dance to Canadian music, fill your bellies with warming poutines and Canadian Club, wear your beaver tails and win some great giveaways.

All week there is roving entertainment, prizes galore, themed menus, art installations, music for every taste and fantastic food to fuel you up this winter. So grab your crew, switch off the Netflix and brave the snow this Winter at The Prince Consort. Who says it doesn’t snow in Brisbane?
