Batoko Brings Sustainability To Swimwear

October 23, 2018

Batoko is an independent swimwear brand based on the North West Coast of England, Batoko create high quality swimsuits that are fun, flattering and super comfy. They’re also made of rubbish- Their swimwear is made from 100% recycled plastic waste that would have otherwise been headed for landfill and our oceans.

Batoko digitally prints their swimwear which saves water and energy too. Digital printing allows for precision, which means they can pre-cut our fabric and use the exact amount of ink needed for each swimsuit- which leaves very little wastage overall and works as the most ecological printing method.

Batoko purposely keep their collections small and slowly introduce new designs at a slower and much more sustainable pace.

Blessed with a bigger bust? Although Batoko swimsuits do not come with a built in bra, wire or padded cups, they have been designed and tested to support up to an E cup. This is created mainly by their strong-hold, thick fabric and stitching with extra support coming from our higher back.
