How wonderful to see an old style murder mystery in a modernised ‘whodunit’ movie. Writer and director Rian Johnson of Brick, Looper, The Last Jedi, recreates a mastermind murder mystery that is like a large ball of wool as it endlessly unravels to find the first thread and who really did it!
The whole audience was captured from the beginning to end. There was so much going on you wouldn’t dare lose focus otherwise you could miss out on vital evidence!
Of course, everyone is a suspect and in this day and age Knives Out is a fun, modern-day mystery and I thoroughly enjoyed this most entertaining and true Agatha Christie style movie.
Story synopsis; crime novelist Harlan Thrombey played by the renowned actor Christopher Plummer is found dead on his estate after his 85th birthday. Our own Daniel Craig plays the role of the quiet, inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc. He has his work cut out for him as he attempts to dig and filter through Harlan’s dysfunctional family and his devoted staff with their self-serving lies to uncover the truth behind Harlan’s untimely death.
It seemed obvious that the all-star cast had a ball playing their roles, with possible actor improvisation: Christopher Plummer, Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana De Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Riki Lindhome, Noah Segan and Jaeden Martell. Jamie Lee Curtis said “it is a fantastic movie and I am honoured and thrilled to be part of it.
Always a pleasure to see a wonderful movie thanks to Georgina @ThinkTankCommunications and @SheSociety
