Fellow #girlboss Leslie Knope puts it well when she reminds us that the most important things in life are “friends, waffles and work.”
These three components have the ability to create a pretty great life – but in my personal opinion, waffles are the glue. None of my friends want to be around my grumpy face when my waffle intake is in a serious deficient.
Similarly, my procrastination levels at work sky rocket when all I can think about is how long I’ve somehow gone without using my waffle iron.
Simply put, life without waffles is barely living at all. If you’re in the market to raise your waffle consumption, this little recipe should get you started.

YOU WILL NEED
1 x waffle maker, 3 x mixing bowls and lots of spoons if you’re like me and keep licking them clean by accident
For the waffles:
2 x cups of all-purpose flour, 1 x teaspoon of salt, 4 x teaspoons of baking powder, 2 x tablespoons of sugar, 2 x eggs, 1 x cup of warm milk, 1/3 cup of butter, 2 x handfuls of chocolate chips
For the sauce:
1 x handful of raspberries, 1 x Chobani yougurt
For the toppings:
1 x sliced fig, 2 x Chocolate Lindt balls, 1 x handful of raspberries
Mix flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Preheat your amazing waffle maker! Then in another bowl beat your eggs and stir in the milk and butter. Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and beat until it’s all blended through. Don’t forget to add the chocolate chip! Spoon the mixture into your waffle maker and cook until beautiful and golden brown.
Add raspberries to a small bowl and smoosh them up with a fork. Add some Chobani to the bowl and stir until it becomes a pretty pink colour!
Stack your desired amount of waffles to each plate and add the yogurt sauce. Now grab the Lindt balls and crunch them over the top of the waffles along with some more berries and sliced fig.
Serve to your friends, work mates or just eat it all yourself!
