A record $7110 was raised for children’s charity Act For Kids during the February Sovereign Islands and Surrounds Community Luncheon.
Held last Wednesday at Red Steakhouse & Bar Sanctuary Cove, this was the most money ever raised since the community initiative launched more than a year ago.
This brings the event’s cumulative fundraising tally to an impressive $67,320, benefiting 16 noteworthy charities and community initiatives.
The funds raised for Act for Kids will go towards the organisation’s child and family therapy service on the Gold Coast.
The luncheon is organised each month by Zanthii Communications Director, Joanne Rahn and mother, Marilyn West, offering guests the opportunity to socialise whilst supporting a worthwhile cause.
