As you get fitter and stronger your workouts get more challenging, it is also good to introduce new equipment and variations of exercises to your fitness routine to shock your muscles and prevent adaptation.
During your Pilates classes as your level improves, it is good to use and change “toys” as rings, balls, elastic bands etc… to stimulate different muscles and add more resistance which will create better results.
Here you have an example of two easy exercises that I use with my clients so they get familiar and start working with a Pilates ring or a Pilates magic circle, this exercises works the gluteus, arms and back, for an intermediate level, I do 10 reps slowly of each exercise.
